りんくうタウン - Rinku Town -

一時期この近隣にお勤めしておりましたが、今思うとエラい遠いところまで通っていたものですな。 当時は誘致に失敗したのか周囲はほぼ空き地状態でしたが、最近Google Mapsで確認すると 周りにいくらか学校や店舗ができているようです。

I worked in old days near this station. When I worked, there was hardly a company and a building around a station. This is because economy was bad. Some schools and shops were made recently around a station when they confirmed the outskirts of the station in GoogleMaps.

ホームから空港方面を見たところ。正面で高速道路と鉄道が合流して2層構造になって空港島に向かいます。 強風に弱くてちょっと天気が悪くなると運行見合わせになってしまいます。

The airport is connected to the station at a bridge. The bridge becomes 2 layered structure of an expressway and the track. When weather worsens, the bridge is closed to traffic because wind is strong.

ホームは上下線とも島式で、外側が南海、内側がJRです。

駅の真下は「りんくうパピリオ」という商業施設で、飲食店中心にいくつかお店があったのですが、 やはり最近確認したら大半のお店がなくなっていました。 まぁすぐ近所にアウトレットやら何やらできたからねぇ。

There were commercial facilities under the station, and there was a restaurant. Most shops close and are deserted recently.

駅前には巨大なりんくうゲートタワービル。文字通り「門の塔」になるはずが、予算不足で片側しかできなかったという笑い話つきのビルです。
